Founder, Texas Financial Partners
Founder, The Dike Company
“The financial services field can appear to be all about numbers, but to me it is a relationship business. I've always been a people person, and that taught me the importance of the Golden Rule in building client relationships. In my experience when that rule drives client relationships, they turn into friendships that can last decades.”
A.R. “Buddy” Dike brings an extensive and varied finance background to Texas Financial Partners (TFP). In 1966, he launched The Dike Company, an insurance brokerage firm specializing in estate planning, business insurance, and employee benefit plans. In 2017, The Dike Company merged with Higginbotham, a Fort Worth-based firm founded in 1948. Ranked as the largest independent insurance broker in Texas, Higginbotham is a single-source solution for a broad range of personal and business insurance, risk management, and employee benefit services. As a part of Higginbotham’s solution strategy, Dike is able to offer life insurance through TFP.
Having served as president of the Insurance Alliance between 1988 and 1991, Dike’s dynamic leadership experience is an asset the TFP team. He has served as president of the Fort Worth Association of Life Underwriters, the Fort Worth Society of Financial Service Professionals, and the Fort Worth Business and Estate Council. As a charter member of the Top of the Table, Dike also boasts lifetime membership on the Million Dollar Round Table.
An accredited Chartered Life Underwriter, Dike is a graduate of the Texas Christian University; he attended on a football scholarship and served as football captain in 1957.
